Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. She grew up listening to traditional, old boleros as well as traditional ranchero, romantic and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of the dramatic stage. Her mother taught her to sing. She began intensifying her vocal instruction with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young student and professional. In 2000, she emigrated in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her present home in Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with classical Latin American music at private occasions. Being a teacher and a musician, she is committed to many projects in the community because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her singing of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a love, in particular in the younger generations and keep the tradition living.
