Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is famous for her the roles she played in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. In the 1980s the actress began her acting career. She became well-known for the character Tezaab, in which she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. In Mumbai her home, she grew up by middle class parents. At a very young age, she began to study dance. At the age of 16 She began to act and struggled for years because most of her early films failed. She found fame and became one of India's leading movie actresses. Her marriage led to an interruption in her career. She returned later. Recently, she played an important part in Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which, eight were awarded. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is India's fourth highest civil honor. Also, she has earned a name as a social activist.
